TKDN, short for Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri, is the percentage of domestic content in a product. For medical devices sold in Indonesia, it has become one of the first numbers procurement teams look at.
What the TKDN value tells you
A TKDN value shows how much of a product's value comes from local materials, labour and production. A higher value generally means more of the product is made in Indonesia.
- It is shown as a percentage, for example 45% or 80%.
- It is issued through an official verification process.
- It applies to a specific product, not to a whole company.

Why buyers check it
Government hospitals and public procurement programmes often give priority to products with a higher local content value. For distributors, a clear TKDN value makes it easier to offer a product in tenders and electronic catalogues.
Local content is not only a compliance number – it also signals a shorter, more resilient supply chain.
How GMI shares product data
GMI product pages list the registration number, sizes and product details. Our team can confirm the current TKDN value for any product.

What to ask your supplier
- Is the TKDN value current for this exact product and size?
- Is the product registered (AKD or PKD) with the Ministry of Health?
- Can the supplier keep the same specification for repeat orders?
